Music History Pre-1750 Research Paper

Attached below is a semester-long research paper that I wrote during the Spring 2022 semester for my Music History Pre-1750 class. This paper examines the cello and viola da gamba bow and their relations to one another by using a variety of sources and images. It asserts that the viola da gamba is not the ancestor to the modern-day cello.
